Understanding Bullying – healing the hurt

March 14 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
200R

What is the “Bully & Bullies” Course?

This course teaches children aged 9–14 how to understand, prevent and respond to bullying in a healthy, confident and respectful way. It helps all children — those who are bullied, those who bully, and those who witness bullying — to build empathy, self-awareness and safer social skills.

Children will learn:
 What bullying is and why it happens
 Types of bullying
 Why bullying happens
 Different roles in bullying such as bystander, etc.
 Effects of bullying
 Skills for standing up for themselves and others safely
 Coping skills
 How to handle conflict without aggression
 How to build healthy friendships
 How to ask for help and who to go to
 How to become “up-standers” instead of silent by-standers

The course focuses on education, emotional skills, prevention and healthy behaviour change, not blaming or shaming. It is practical, age-appropriate, and includes stories, discussions, role-plays, activities, and confidence-building exercises.
