What is this workshop about?
This workshop focuses on helping children develop healthy emotional skills, self-awareness, and practical tools to manage their feelings and relationships in everyday life. 1. Self-Care
• Understanding what self-care is • Why taking care of our body and mind is important • Identifying what I need when I feel tired, sad, angry, or overwhelmed
2. Understanding Emotions
• Recognizing different emotions and feelings • Naming emotions correctly • Understanding what our feelings are trying to tell us
3. Relaxation & Calm-Down Strategies
• Simple breathing techniques • Body relaxation exercises • Healthy ways to calm down when upset • Managing stress in age-appropriate ways
4. Positive Self-Talk & Self-Compassion
• Positive affirmations • Being kind to yourself • Learning that mistakes are part of growing
5. Growth Mindset
• Understanding that abilities can improve with effort • Learning from challenges • Building resilience
6. Gratitude
• Practicing thankfulness • Focusing on positive moments • Developing a grateful attitude
7. Empathy & Social Skills
• Understanding other people’s feelings • Practicing empathy • Making friends and keeping friendships healthy • Conflict resolution skills • Healthy communication
